Dr. Springer has been in practice in La Mesa and East County since 1970. His specialty is Family Practice, and with that comes one of his greatest talents, listening. Dr. Springer actively listens to his patients, he doesn't just dispense medicine. In addition, he tries to find alternatives to simply adding medicine upon medicine. Hearing the patient, and communicating with that patient, he feels, is one of the keystones to wellness.

This medical doctor has always put great emphasis on preventative medicine. Prevention, he believes, is always better than trying to fix something after it has happened.

Dr. Springer, Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice (FAAFP), has been Chair of the Department of Family Practice at Alvarado and Grossmont Hospitals. He is also on the Clinical Teaching Staff at UCSD Medical School for both English and Spanish. Indeed, he and much of his staff are fluent in both languages.

As a physician, Dr. Springer does volunteer medical work throughout the Western Hemisphere. And simply as a neighbor, he spearheads the Tijuana Toy Drive every year and has done so for more than 18 years.
