Dr. Spiering was born and raised in San Diego, a real California Native! He attended Christian Heritage College in East County on a scholarship for two years and completed his undergraduate training at UCSD, where he graduated cum laude in biology.

His medical training was at the prestigious Georgetown University in our Nation's Capital. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California.

During his schooling he had the privilege and responsibility of raising his five children, all boys, with his lovely wife, Laurie. He and his family have also undergone the challenges of him going through treatment for cancer on two separate occasions. He has been cancer-free for over five years now. Praise God!

He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has served his patients in the East County since 1998. He looks forward to continue meeting the needs of his present patients and to adding new patients to the family.
